Is dining consistent between New Ships and Old ships?

From the sailings I've been on, I noticed the food quality is better on newer ships vs the same venue in an older ship. Ie MDR or Buffet on new ship better than on an older ship.

Anyone else notice the same?

I believe the quality of the food is more dependent on the skill of the chefs than the age of the ships. I have sailed on the Dawn a few times and liked the food, as well as the Escape, Getaway or Breakaway (they were fairly new when I sailed them).
