Good to read through all this info. We considered a RS for next March on Apex but we stepped back to a CS to get a larger balcony. Then we have a Sunset Sky Suite booked after that. Sounds like we'll be better off with the aft cabin

There have been limited reviews about suite balconies on E class. Will look forward to reading your comments after cruising as to which room you prefer.

After enjoying daily breakfasts on our Sky Suite balcony on the Reflection, which had comfortable chairs and a regular table, was disappointed to see that our Sky Suite on the Apex next year has crummy chairs and a small table.  What a disappointment on this stupid design decision.

I have noticed on many new ships the last few years on multiple lines that balcony sizes seem to be shrinking.  This seems true on Norwegian and Princess also to name a few.

We have stayed in an S1 Sky Suite on both Apex and Edge on deck 10 and we quite enjoyed our balcony. There was plenty of sunlight as there are no overhangs and the views were unobstructed.  On Edge they agreed to put one lounger on the deck also (angled) which was very nice.

From the sounds of it, the balconies on SS may be actually superior to those in the RS!

We were booked Feb 2023 on Edge in another RS……… just cancelled and booked on a S class ship…. The balcony (or lack of) has been a deal breaker for us-

Totally understand.

We were excited when E class came out. However, we are yet to cruise on an Edge ship owing to our disappointment with the suite room balconies.

Our balcony is important to us too. The place where we have morning coffee, even if not breakfast daily, the place we enjoy a nap in the afternoon and the place we always sit to enjoy a late night drink and some stargazing….

Even looking at the EV there are issues. My mobility isn’t wonderful. As for the Iconic….looks wonderful but out of our price range, especially when I can get the S class PH which suits us perfectly for a fraction of the cost.
