Time for Malecon after Las Caletas?

Will there be time to explore along the Malecon if the Las Caletas excursion leaves at 10:30am for 6 1/2 hours and the ship says it leaves at 9:00pm?    I would like to start my day earlier, but that is the only time listed on the Carnival website.  We are on the Carnival Panorama in mid May.  Thank you in advance for advice.

It would appear you would have close to 4 hours. Why not?

Ship leaves at 9:00 means all aboard is about 8.  That still leaves time from the 5 p.m. tour end time.
