abugarcia1 Posted April 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2022 We are preparing for our upcoming cruise. Scheduled departure is 5pm. Boarding time is listed at 12pm however NCL has check in time slots beginning at 9:00am. For those who check in before the listed boarding begins, what is the process? Does the check in process take a couple of hours or is there a waiting area after you check in at the pier before boarding time? Thank you for any information! Treasure Hunter Posted April 18, 2022 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2022 I believe that the super early check in times was left over from when they tested at the pier before regular check in. I’d still go early and get it over before there are long lines. Yes , there is plenty of seating, bathrooms etc. and you board according to when you checked in ( unless you are Haven) so it’s a good idea. Sometimes they board as early as 11. mjkacmom Posted April 18, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2022 We always checked in early to get an early boarding number. We cruise out of NYC and my kids have had to sit in the floor while waiting. This was before Covid, I don’t think they were strict about check in times.
