Tables for 2?

Hello---sorry if this has been addressed previously. I did a search but didn't find anything recent. We've done a couple of Viking River cruises (although the last was in 2015) and dinners were always groups of people at a large table. While we met some very nice people we would have preferred our own table.

 

Is it possible to get a table for 2 in the restaurants on the ocean cruises?

Yes in all of them.  In The Restaurant sometimes the 2's are very close together but you can request one that is more socially distanced if that is your goal.

Actually, have never even been asked if we’d like to share.

We do enjoy sharing on River cruises, but on ocean - not so much.

YES ! If you go early to Restaurant,  either Specialty venue - you will get a window table for two 😉

I may be strange, but I think I’d enjoy dining with other people.  I find that barriers get broken when you eat with someone, and who knows, you may make a lifelong friend!

We recently returned from Med Odyssey on the Sky. (600ish passengers on board.) Tables for two were readily available at all dining venues. On several days, we changed our plans to match daily specials presented at The Restaurant.

The most private table for two on ocean cruises (in the Restaurant) is Table No. 1, located in the far aft. We ate there twice on our recent transatlantic cruise.
