Departing the ship early to catch midnight flight

Reserved on PG for the 7 night Tahiti cruise in October.  The ship is scheduled to arrive back to Papeete at 6:30pm at the end of day 6, then the cruise officially ends in the morning of day 7.  I was wondering if anyone had ever taken this cruise and departed the ship upon arrival back to Papeete and caught the midnight flight home that evening.

It's done all the time  .... just make sure you have a taxi booked and though there is a dur-charge have the ship arrange it. Talk to reception 😉
