zqtchas Posted May 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2022 (edited) Has anybody tried this? It said on the Heathrow that it is usable, if I read it right. Edited May 1, 2022 by zqtchas sp

Good luck with trying, out of the previous 4 entries the e-gates have rejected my passport 3 times. They are notoriously unreliable.

We have never thought it worthwhile to apply for GE. When we flew into Seattle a few years back they worked fine with the scanning m/c’s. jollyjones Posted May 1, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Yes, my UK passport works consistently with Global Entry but like Mr Silver it has been rejected more often than accepted by the e gates at LHR. 1
worldtraveller99 Posted May 3, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 3, 2022 My husband (not me) has this problem all the time, his passport has never been e-accepted. So as you approach the e-gates, you can see just beyond them (after the last one) a small queue for a real person, and he goes straight to that.
zqtchas Posted May 20, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted May 20, 2022 Having gone through Heathrow P/P control last 5/18/22 the lines were amazingly short. Observed many people going through the e gates. US global entry is eligible to use, so said our processor. How ever the best way is the wheelchair way, so he said.
daddyo Posted May 20, 2022 #8 Share Posted May 20, 2022 Thanks for the heads up. We are flying through LHR to Lisbon next month to board the Wind. Read your issues with the Lisbon Airport. Can’t say I’m excited about a 2.5 hour ordeal.
