Can I drop my bags in my cabin?

You are allowed to drop any carry-ons in your cabin even before they are ready for you to occupy your cabin.  Just park them in the closet which keeps them out of the way of the folks tidying up the cabin, then move on for some lunch.

When I board with carry on bags, can I drop them in the cabin before the cabin is ready, or do I need to carry them around with me?

New routine is for you to head first to your cabin, get your pass card from the mail slot by the door, leave your stuff, lock your valuables in the safe, and head for whatever venue floats your boat.

The new routine is so good! It makes the OVC so much less crowded without everyone taking up 3 times the space with all their carry-ons and staying around after they eat until the rooms are ready because they don't want to drag their bags around. Just go to your cabin, get your seapass card, and begin enjoying the ship unincumbered.
