norcalal Posted May 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2022 I am 85 and don't drink. Is there any way my cabinmate can get the drink package alone?

ladysail2 Posted May 4, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2022 Could the OP pay for the Bubbles package instead?

If OP gets a doctor’s note that not allowed to drink for medical reasons, that may help.
SNJCruisers Posted May 4, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2022 Maybe if the OP provided a doctor note that she was pregnant. 🤣
Rare CruisingWalter Posted May 4, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2022 As others have mentioned, sadly no. But I would encourage your cabinmate to do the math to see if the drink package is actually worth it. It was $52/per day when we sailed and we ended up saving almost $500 by not going with the drink package because my wife really wasn't drinking that much on the cruise. I had 4 specialty coffees each day (at least) and 3 or 4 cocktails on most days. So I actually hit the $52 mark on at least 3 of the days of sailing. But because she mostly drank water and only a few cocktails, we would have badly overpaid with the drinks package. Carnival drinks are cheaper than we were used to on Celebrity, Royal and Princess so it's possible that person will do just fine, perhaps pay the same amount, going ala carte.
