Trying to decide which casino offer is better

7 nights in a deck 11 midship balcony on Mardi Gras in late July with $200.00 00 OBC for $1615.00 or 7 nights in a deck 11midship  balcony on Mardi Gras in early  Sept with the cheers package for $2145.00. Greatly appreciate all thoughts.

If you would enjoy the Cheers package, take that one. With the increased price now, it's well over 800 per couple (I'm sure someone will chime in with the exact new amount including gratuity, but it's too late at night for me to do math.)

If you took the 200 OBC and applied it to Cheers, it still would be well over 600 more to pay for it. The increased cabin cost is only 500 and some to cruise with Cheers included.

Thanks to all those who replied as I appreciate the comments. I was originally really leaning towards the first deal since we could have used the $200.00 OBC towards drinks and even if we had to spend say another $200.00 for drinks we still would have been saving $300.00 over the second deal. The other issue was that the first deal was not available in Sept.

If it's a Casino Offer (in my experience) there should at least be "Drinks on us while playing in the Casino" as part of either offer.

Yes the offer was for 2 people and did not see any indication it included drinks while playing in the casino. We did get other offers that included drinks in the casino and rate was around $1950.00.

Neither of these casino offers sound like "DEALS."

I've been sailing on casino offers for the last 7 years and have only paid taxes and port charges.

Offers have included inside and balcony cabins and DOU in casino and everywhere. They always vary.

They all included some amount of Funplay or Cash from casino from $100-$1000 over the years.

I have a 14 day Journey booked for Jan 2023 on Legend and am still only paying taxes and port charges with DOU everywhere and $500 Fun Play. Plus I'll have $600 OBC from rebooking back in 2020.

These really don't sound like a good casino DEAL.

It all depends upon how much you gamble and what your rating is.  Obviously you drop more money in the casino and have a higher rating than the OP, so you get better deals.    I don't gamble a dime, so I get zero offers.

All the OP can do is deal with deciding between the offers they have; doesn't matter what offers anyone else gets. In my mind, it depends if they would enjoy Cheers at a reduced rate or not. It is one way to try the Cheers package without having to pay full freight for it. Then they can decide if it is worth it in the future.

Just my 2 cents, though, and that won't even buy you a piece of gum anymore.

You're essentially paying $700 for the CHEERS package (the one with CHEERS is a little over $500 more and you don't get the $200 OBC). If you think you'd get more than $700 worth of value out of it, then sure.

If you think you won't spend $700 in alcohol and milkshakes and whatnot, then go with the first option.

Have you thought about the itinerary at all, or is it just about the price?  Also, hurricane season is peaking in September if that concerns you .... not necessarily just at sea, but land impact on travel.

Basically looking at price but do prefer eastern/southern Caribbean and realize the cruise with the OBC was a way better deal unless you spend all day drinking.  As to the hurricane issue, we have been on almost 40 cruises during hurricane season and once we were headed back to Florida but were behind the hurricane so no problem. But Miami  sure was a mess. . And once they diverted from back to Tampa to PT. Canaveral and we went by bus back to Tampa. Going in hurricane season is always a crapshoot and you just have to hope not to have any issues.

No need to spend all day drinking, which is basically impossible with Cheers since you're capped at 15 drinks.  Just need to consume 6 drinks to make it worthwhile.  Plus you get all of the non alcoholic options as a bonus.
