it was similar on the 14 night summit. one grand buffet and one chocolate buffet and i think one fruit buffet. the other nights were called gourmet bites. i was never able to eat at any of them because of all the good food at dinner....i think, no, i know i had some of the best desserts in my life....and my mother was a wonderful cook.

Most nights X now offers "Gourmet Bites" - waitstaff walk through lounges and other public areas with trays of finger foods, canapes and sweets. Of course, there's still the Grand Buffet. Then, depending on the length of cruise and/or the itinerary, there may also be a Caribbean buffet, chocolate buffet, crepes buffet or Italian buffet. In addition, pasta and pizza are available just about every night until about 1am.

What's the story on the late night buffet situation aboard Celebrity ships? I've read a couple of diiferent accounts. One indicated there was a buffet every night, while another mention one per cruise.

All my cruises have had one "GRAND BUFFET" which is held at

midnight on the 2nd formal night. It actually begins at 11:45 and

the line is only for pictures....then at 12:15 it opens up for eating.

There have been a couple of midnight buffets held outside up at

the pool. (a different evening than the "Grand Buffet").

They might have a theme.....Caribbean, example...with beautiful

carved fruit, etc, music, drinks, etc.

But they do not offer a midnight buffet every evening anymore.

lyslolqn is correct, they have "gourmet bites" now.

From our experience, there is the Grand Buffet held on the last formal night and one other buffet (fruit and sherbert buffet) held mid week on a 7 night cruise.

On our 14 night trans, there was a chocolate buffet, a fruit and sherbert buffet, a tapas buffet, and the Grand Buffet.

Gourmet bites (appetizers and small pastries) are offered all other nights in the lounges and casino - it is really quite nice as the food comes to you instead of having to stop your activity and go to the food.

The gourmet bites are very good. But i must admit i havnt had much. We eat at the late seating and unless i "just cant resist"-i am usually wayyy too full. they also offer mini sweets that are wonderful. The grande buffet is lovely but i have never sampled it. Now our next cruise is a 14 day. I will HAVE to save room for a chocolate buffet !!
