Just got e-mail that 4 ports on Escape (May 21) cruise have new arrival times

This is a a big deal as we have all private tours in these ports, and it will require a ton of work to make adjustments including new ferry/train times etc. This doesn't seem reasonable that we are seeing these changes just 12 days before we sail. Not a good look for NCL. One port would be disappointing but four???

Yes, its an inconvenience for sure. Unfortunately, the cruise line can do that without advance notice. Consider yourself lucky that NCL emailed you informing of the time changes. When we did the Med on another cruise line, we found out that the times at EVERY single port had changed once we got on the ship! No advance notice whatsoever. Like you, we had booked independent tours based on our original times. Even our airport transportation. We had to scramble to adjust our tour times from the ship. We made it happen and it all worked out, and in the grand scheme of things, it turned out to be a mild nuisance. It was still a wonderful trip! Hope you have a great time, even with the time changes.

At least you're going to the same ports - on a TA a few years ago we ended up in the Azores instead of the Caribbean!

Welcome to the reality of cruising on any cruise line, at any time, in any area of the world.

Published itineraries (ports, days times) are placeholders for what will be the actual conditions during the cruise.

Ports can be switched or cancelled, and times will sometimes vary due to local port conditions.

Kudos to NCL letting you know the new placeholder plans twelve days before your cruise.

Of course, those times could still change the day of the port call.
