Gratuities

I want to be prepared. Do they add gratuities to your account or do I have to have cash.?  I usually give extra so I take some cash but not enough for everyone.

There will be a Service Charge of $12.50 per person per night.  There would also be a 15% service charge on any purchases (drinks, chocolates, etc.).  Formally, MSC does not encourage tipping individuals, but it is often done on US-based cruises (since tipping is common here as opposed to Europe).
