Landing in San Juan in the middle of the night - options?

Options for flying into San Juan out of Newark and AC land you there in the middle of the night.  Newark has us land at almost 4 am.  Has anyone done this and are there cabs available at that time?  Does your baggage arrive somewhat quickly?   Did it feel safe?  And what did you do during the wee hours of the morning?   This will be 2 days prior to the cruise.  Thanks......

San Juan is a 24 hour airport and functions accordingly.  

There are plenty of licence approved taxis from the official stand just outside.  Fares are published and the cab Captain will give one a “document” for your journey to one’s hotel, stating the fare and price of suitcases, this being binding with the driver. Gratuities are welcomed above the fare.

The airport, drivers and hotels are considered safe at all hours of the day.

Things to do?  One thinks you’ll be tired after the journey, so one thinks sleep would be the most popular.
