Carnival Journeys cruise discount?

Do Carnival Journeys cruises usually price drops? I want to go on the one in August but I’m unsure if I should book now or wait for a potential price drop.

With the way sales are set up, you have to be aware of what category you are, and the category you are price matching. For example, you see a $100.00 drop in price. You ask for $100.00 taken off your bill. But to do that you lose $200.00 OBC. ( just a hypothetical). Be sure you are price matching same category's. You might and might not see a price drop. If the price is good for you book it and watch for drops.

Idk which journeys cruise you are watching. The longer ones out of Galveston generally go up up up. I'm on jan 13 2024 and already 87 members of my roll call. There are only 2 of these scheduled, this oct and mine in jan 2024. Scarce. Two others 14 day next year eastern I'd like but not at current prices. Check if there are other dates and the pricing to decide if it's a good price. 

 

Some do get casino rates which are less. Some of us dont. I know my rate will not drop. This is a cruise I've wanted for years, so I've watched rates.

 

Cruise this summer and yours in august could still drop. I wouldnt book if you dont like the price. I see posts about covid. Prices this summer on carnival close in could easily drop. I'd book last minute if I wasn't crazy about the price close in dates.
