RD64 Posted May 27, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2022 The Viking Octantis passed through Sault Ste. Marie - Michigan and Ontario - on a rainy /foggy day today. Truly an amazing sight. Pics taken from the Canadian side…
oakridger Posted May 27, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2022 Have there been any "live from" reviews yet? I'd love to hear what people think about it.
Northern wanderlust Posted May 27, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 27, 2022 We live in the region and our local news has been flooded with pictures if Octantis sightings. I have been salivating over an Antarctic cruise on her and am excited to see her in person. Ah, maybe some day. 1
RD64 Posted May 27, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted May 27, 2022 Hopefully the next time the Octantis passes through it will be a sunny day - for a different perspective.
CTLeeA Posted May 27, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 27, 2022 We're joining the octantis on June 4, providing our covid tests are negative and we get the results in time. I am taking 3 of them hoping at least one will be timely. We were notified that we will check in at the airport instead of the pier so we'll need to shuttle back to the airport from the hotel we will be at in Milwaukee the night before. Any tips? i heard Viking will provide a complimentary transfer to the airport in Toronto..i know know if that's true or, if so, what the reason is...any tips? RD64 Posted May 27, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted May 27, 2022 In the event aViking does not cover the transfer to YYZ - this might be an option for you. https://www.upexpress.com/
RD64 Posted May 27, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted May 27, 2022 And today - the Octantis arrives in Thunder Bay (photo courtesy of my cousin). I don’t know what it is - but the Octantis elicits a tremendous amount of pride for those of us living along the Great Lakes. Cheers to Viking!
