Most mornings, it is among the first things I read after I turn on my computer. I am in awe of those who post consistently. You have shared joyous events (such as Camilla's arrival). Others have endured and surmounted so many challenges that remind me to be thankful for our good fortune. You have brightened our world during a time that was very dark. I am reminded of locales we want to revisit and our Bucket List lengthens with your gorgeous photos and memories of other ports of call. And I get some great Food & Beverage ideas as well! What's not to like? However, I must say that even though I understand on an intellectual level why, I am truly saddened that @kazu Jacqui feels she needs to take a break from us. Her indomitable spirit shines through with every word she types, every meme she shares, no matter what is swirling around her at that instant in time. For many reasons, I truly hope she is able to climb out of the gloom. Sooner rather than later. After reading the Daily, I have busy days, especially recently. We just sold our home and are going into a shortish-term rental situation. The square footage is considerably smaller, so you know that DH and I are going through the Donate/Pitch/Save triage in preparation for that move. It is amazing how much cr*p two oldsters can acquire! And retain. Or we are spackling and applying touch up paint where our treasures hung on walls. Or bubble packing up some of our tchotchkes. Oh, did I mention that we get to go this again in approximately 5-7 months when our (hopefully) Forever Home (no stairs!!) should be complete? Mother Nature has to cooperate, as does the supply chain for that timeline to hold. The seductive light at the end of this tunnel, is the thought of boarding the Nieuw Statendam in late November (Bingo win!) for a week in the Caribbean, followed by another two weeks on board in the same cabin. This our Hawaii April 2020 cruise that @atexsix Bruno had a terrific Roll Call going on which rolled over into several other cruises cancelled by You-Know-What, one of which was to be a Spanish Farewell with a fabulous Roll Call organized by @kazu Jacqui, with several Dailyites on the Roll Call. We hope we will meet some of you on the NS. We are already looking forward to meeting @Overhead Fred & Mitzi. Thank you all, -Cat (& David too!!) Good to see you again. Fortunately I did get a chance to cruise with a couple people from our roll call, and I made a permanent IRL friend from it as well, so all was not lost. But I'm still bummed at not getting to go on that cruise more than any other covid related loss. Course HAL doesn't seem to want to offer a RT Seattle/Hawaii itinerary again for whatever reason 😞

Seattle is such a popular destination for those of us who are not fortunate enough to live in the PNW. Just love that Circle Hawaii itinerary! So good to hear from you! Would you do Princess again? Best wishes to you and DD! -Cat & David

But yes, I'd probably cruise Princess again if I had a reason to (Hawaii from Seattle).

Can't wait to hear it play in August during our anniversary cruise. A little Jonny Cash' Ghost Riders in the Sky! 😉 On Koningsdam a few years ago they had a little stall for herring, but there was no herring until the Captain invited everyone to come shake his and his team's hands. And then the raw and a bit rotten, dead, yet delicious fish was served in small bits by waiters. The stall was just a prop, and I thought this deck needed a proper organ. So I'm delighted to see that HAL's Dutch heritage is not only shown by selling salty licorice and poffertjes in Dutch Cafe but there is an actual organ, on a ship. Too bad it looks like an Italian statue made of plaster. This is what they really look like: https://www.dumpert.nl/item/6866489_05a7da0a But you know that 🙂 Image one of these on Lido deck! When I was a child growing up in the Antillenstraat in Amsterdam, I remember the "orgelman" (organ man) coming down the street and manually having to turn the wheel to make the organ play. His assistant would "work" the crowd holding a copper "centen bakkie" for the (coin) tips
