JMaclauchlan Posted May 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2022 Cruising to Alaska on NCL Encore; is there an issue with fogging going between the cool air and the climate controlled interior parts of the ship?
Rare pierces Posted May 28, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2022 If anything, it would be the other way around. If you come in from the cool outside air to the warm somewhat humid interior, you might get some minor fogging. Also, Alaska in June is fairly temperate. Sometimes. We have been there when it was 79° in August and once in late June when it was 30° up by Skagway in White Pass. All the other times, we had pretty good weather in the mid 50s to low 70s. Rain gear is more important to consider. Dave
quack2 Posted June 13, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2022 On small excursion boats with outdoor and indoor seating, you may find that indoors is worthless due to fogging on rainy days. I remember a time coming into Icy Strait after being out on an excursion. Whales were bubble net feeding just off the shore, and people on land were getting a real treat. I was on the inside the boat and couldn't see what was happening.
nini Posted August 7, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2022 I only had the fogging issue on our full transit Panama Canal cruise. After 4 Alaska cruises, never had this issue.
