parachutes63 Posted June 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2022 I am taking my 2 grandkids, ages 5 and 9, on a cruise in January 2023. If they are not vaccinated but receive and exemption, will they be allowed off the ship to do excursions? We are doing a caribbean cruise.
Rare Essiesmom Posted June 2, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2022 At this point, no one knows what requirements will be by Jan 2023. Get them vaccinated and you won’t have to fret about it. EM
Rare Eli_6 Posted June 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2022 I didn't think that kids under 12 had to have an exemption anymore to cruise...but maybe I am confusing my cruise lines. As of right now, I do not think they have the bubble tours anymore so I would think they could get off freely...but that may change depending on what happens with the virus. kingston13 Posted June 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 2, 2022 No telling in Jan 2023 but currently on the Carnival site: Unvaccinated children age 11 and under are not required to purchase a Carnival shore excursion and may go ashore with their vaccinated parents/guardians to enjoy independent sightseeing
Rare bassmk Posted June 2, 2022 #5 Share Posted June 2, 2022 The rules for each individual port probably plays a big role as well. You should look that up because they all vary.
