Best Island for Outrigger Canoe Surfing

Trying to figure out what to book on what island.  We want to do outrigger canoe surfing - not just a outrigger tour, although I'll take recommendations for those as well ;). 

 

From the research I've done it seems like Waikiki has the best options - but we have tons of things planned for Oahu. But, if it's the best place for actual canoe surfing then I'll move some stuff around.

 

Anything like this in Hilo, Kona or Kauai?

I am sure all the islands have it somewhere. On Maui, I know its available in the Wailea area.

 

But the easiest just might be Waikiki.

It is the best for an outright canoe surf. Our experience has been with the Royal Hawaiian beach folks which we have used a bunch of times but there are others. Usually get two or three runs in a booking. Have been a ton of fun.

Waikiki is the best place. I'd use Aloha Beach Services. They are a remnant from the original Waikiki Beachboys and the owner is a Kahanamoku.
