Bus to Godafoss

I have read that one can take the # 56 or #79 bus from Akureyri to/from The Godafoss Waterfall.  Looking for someone with experience doing this. Where do you catch the bus? Can you pay with a credit card? Any and all details will be appreciated.

Correct - but not that many bus departures according to the schedule - Fossholl is close to Godafoss.
