If flight is canceled and you have booked your cruise with a TA- who helps you rebook another flight Regents or the TA

4 more days, and we will be on our way to Rome. We just received our papers from Regents and the TA underlined the Regents Air emergency phone in case our flight is delayed. She said that because Regents booked our air, Regents is the one we need to contact to rebook our flight if flight is canceled. She wouldn’t be able to help us. The reason we went through a TA was exactly for problems like that. She also said if we got Covid and needed to stay in Rome or Athens, we needed to call the insurance to help with the hotels. I’m more concerned with the flight, is this true that the T A doesn’t get involve with rebooking the flights if flight is canceled?

You should contact neither Regent or your TA.  First thing to do would be to contact the airline as your booking is with them and they ultimately have to change your flights.  Contacting your TA would then to contact Regent who would then contact the airline.  Cut out the two middle men and go to the source. which is the airline who has to make the change.

Your airline is a third party and responsible for your flight and not Regent who clearly states in their T's and C's that they are not responsible for third parties including airlines.  Regent does sometimes help but, always best to go directly to the people who can get you on your flight.

Thank you. I agree it’s the way to go . Hopefully we won’t have that problem. But the way airlines have been cancelling hundreds of flights for the past few weeks, who knows!
