Celebrity Italy requirements 6/17 update - what changed?

Looks like all the policies got updated on the 17th, can't spot a single common change, but it looks like all European cruised now have a standard mask policy for the whole sailing, not just when covid numbers rise...

"Currently, all guests ages 2 and over are required to wear face masks in The Theater and casino. Face Masks are otherwise optional throughout the rest of the ship for all guests".

I wonder how this cuts into Casino revenue. Are people still sitting around for long periods of time while being forced to wear masks?

I've not yet cruised with this requirement so no first-hand experience.

I suspect it will have little impact on the dedicated gamblers though.

From what I know of casino people, won't affect revenue at all 🤑

Currently on the Edge sailed Rome yesterday.  Not a mask in sight in casinos last night and no announcements about masking.  Life seems very normal.

Do you happen to know who the host is right now? Still Andreea?

What mid cruise testing?

Mid-Cruise/Port of Call

Testing varies depending on vaccination status of guest and itinerary. Unvaccinated and/or Vaccinated guests who are not Up to Date* will need to cover any cost for mid-cruise or port-required testing. These tests cost $55 per test, per person. Celebrity will cover the costs for unvaccinated children, who are not eligible to be vaccinated. Please refer to the testing advisory chart for applicable country requirements.

It looks like the mid-cruise testing has changed based on port of calls. Or had that already changed and I missed it?

I don't think that is new, it has been that way for a while, it doesn't apply to all itineraries, just those where the port requires a recent test for those not vaccinated or not up to date.

yes, I may have missed that change when it happened, but I have looking frequently for any updates and hadn't noticed that change until now. I wish they would highlight the changes when they have an update.  It's so hard finding the new change.

It has been there for a while now as it is the only practical difference between 'vaccinated' and 'fully vaccinated', but it doesn't actually apply to many locations as far as I can see.
