Rare Keith1010 Posted February 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2006 I think Horeshoe Bay Beach is the one to see. It is not only the best beach I've been to in Bermuda, but one of the nicest beaches I've ever been to. Keith
philamom Posted February 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Is there anything to do at Horeshoe Bay Beach ? How far is it from the Dockyards?
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2006 It is not commercialized which is the nice thing about it. There is a very nice beach area, a hill nearby that you could walk up to and the beautiful water. It is relatively quiet there and it is beautiful. It is a great beach. Twinsmomct Posted February 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Horseshoe Bay is gorgeous! It's a curved beach, pretty long, where you can rent chairs and umbrellas if you so desire. There is a restaurant where you can buy lunch. Here's a link so you can check out a few pictures: http://www.bermudagetaway.com/Beach/Horseshoe.htm You can take a taxi or the bus from Dockyard to the beach. If you take the bus, just ask the driver to let you know where to get off for the beach. We enjoy exploring the beach a bit past Horseshoe Bay. You just walk to the end of it and continue on to other hidden bays.

Corky3012 Posted February 28, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 28, 2006 From Horseshoe bay, walk along the coast to the east, there are tiny coves. When we went we had our own private beachs--awesome.
Vic The Parrot Posted March 12, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 12, 2006 For nice photo ops, check out Mangrove Bay in Somerset Village. Even tho there's not much beach left, it remains a very scenic place. I was there 2 years ago, and was heartbroken when I couldn't find a spit of sand to stretch out on! But the view is still breathtaking. :)
Travel'n Man Posted March 25, 2006 #9 Share Posted March 25, 2006 Horseshoe Bay is spectacular! They do have restrooms/changing rooms there and a lot of other beaches do not have them. Walk to the left and the coves are spectacular. One of the few places you will see in your lifetime and remember so vividly. :)
