We just received notification that the Getaway is Doing Amber Cove instead of Puerta Plata  on the 7/23/22 sailing. I  also posted in the roll call but very few people are following.I believe both ports are very close, so hopefully anyone that booked  excursions can potentially still do the tour. I don't usually book excursions until I get on the ship, but I know many people do.

Can't afford another mishap?

The port are relatively close to each other. Tours will run.

And the 7/9 sailing of Getaway to Amber Cove.  I know when this change was made on our sailing all excursions booked through the ship were cancelled and we had to wait for NCL to put them back so they could be rebooked.

Sailing the Getaway August 20th (and may add Aug 13 soon), just checked and the DR port is still Puerto Plata, but seeing the trend I guess it will probably change.

No big deal for me, I was not a huge fan of Puerto Plata or La Romana when I last visited.
