Has anyone used Kulture City resource on board?

First cruise in August, going solo. I traveled fair amount "back in the day" but have never cruised. This will be my first time traveling in over 10 years without my PTSD service dog. My doctor recommended Carnival due to their affiliation with Kulture City. Many people think it's only for kids but it's for almost 60 year old ladies like me as well. Has anyone used this program while on board or have any information to share?

I do know that Carnival is very proud of their affiliation with Kulture City, and that pier staff does receive informational training about it.  During Seattle morning staff meetings, before embarkation begins, shore side staff is told whether to expect any special guests (usually autistic).  Once identified, staff is asked to contact a manager and the guest gets an expedited embarkation process.  I am not sure if you,  @firstjourney, want or need this but if accommodation could help you, you might contact Carnival and ask them to let Pier 91 know to expect you.  You would then identify  yourself to outside staff greeting passengers and then you would be escorted thru the check-in process.

I'd never heard of that..... It's good to know that Carnival is being proactive on this.

Thank you Ferry_Watcher for the info. This morning I spoke with the most absolutely amazing "customer service rep" I've ever spoken with. Hilda @ Carnival in the Accessable Services Dept. She was pleasant, calming, helpful, accommodating, I could go on with accolades. Before I could even mention the embark tips you provided, she brought it up and said she would have it all taken care of, all she told me to do is give my name at the pier, and someone will help me out. Thank you again!

Hi @firstjourney, so happy that you decided to contact Carnival and avail yourself with the service options that they offer.  I appreciate you letting me know.  Just remember to have your ArriveCan complete and the QR code ready to show, and check-in will be a breeze!  Hope you have a wonderful cruise!

Thank you for posting back.  My husband is a veteran with PTSD and its nice to know Carnival is making accommodations if needed.  Something to keep in mind as our  next two cruises look to be very full and higher capacity and this may help him navigate a crowded boarding process.
