granann Posted June 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2022 Three members of our party of six have booked a Mayan pyramid excursion. One needs to drop out due to an injury, and her spouse will go in her place. Can we change the participant’s names, or do we need to cancel and rebook ? LeeW Posted June 30, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2022 For the vast majority of excursions they just collect the tickets from each group. Only reason they might question is presenting a child ticket for an adult. And dive excursions need C cards but as long as new person has one they won't care the person was changed. Don't cancel and rebook because price will likely change. If you really want to change names do it onboard and they will likely say don't bother. Rare DCPIV Posted July 1, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 1, 2022 If the excursion is still available and at the same price, I'd go ahead and buy it for the person who now is going and cancel it for the one who is not (in that order--buy first, cancel second). It's just one less thing you have to deal with once you're on board, and you know it's settled. If it's no longer available or if it's more expensive, then I'd do as previously advised and check with Shore Excursions after you're on board.
