Can you bring gallon jugs of water onboard?

I know you can buy packs of 500ml water bottles pre-cruise, but can you bring gallon-sized jugs of waters on board?

Why would you want to ?

Carrying all that weight around seems a waste of energy.

In the passage contract you'll find this

 

"Guests are also prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages on board that are packaged in bottles. A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought on board on embarkation day, only if carried on in Guests’ hand luggage (not in checked luggage). A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person.  Guests will be asked to discard open beverages in plastic containers prior to boarding."

 

Now, if needed for medical reasons, (i.e. CPAP machine) can be ordered from princess or cabin steward.

That was going to be my question!  @zerwey  if you need gallon jugs of distilled water, such as for a CPAP, I believe that can be requested thu the Cruise Personalizer at no charge.

As others posted (why would you want to? CPAP?). Plus there is water available all over the ship. In your bathroom, in the buffet, MDRs. It's everywhere.

Also, if you have a beverage package, you can get bottled water anytime. We usually pick one up at the IC before leaving for a tour.
