Have you looked around the board? Dozens of threads here discussing hotels.

 

Hampton Inn Brickell is a great hotel is a very good location, and easy to use the light rail to get you there. They have a shuttle (for a fee) to the port. The hotel gets many recommendations here. Have stayed in a number of Hamptons in my life, this is certainly one of the best.

A reasonably priced hotel in low season will run you around two hundred dollars a night. Low season is May, June, July and August. High season during winter months the price usually doubles. When is your cruise scheduled? There are plenty of hotels in downtown Miami close to the Port Of Miami.
