Aft and midship there are interior cabins as high as the verandah deck and in the front I can get as high as the lido deck. They're all the same price. 563 total with 200 back in obc.

Ok so as of right now, there are no balconies available. I can take oceanview but the only ones available are on the riviera deck. If I take an inside cabin I think I can move up quite a few decks on the ship. It's just me going and I don't particularly care so much about having a window, because I'd not be spending too much time in my cabin. I'd take a balcony because that would be an incentive to spend more time in the cabin, given that it kind of allows me to be not exactly inside the room so to speak.

So what should I do? Oceanview on the bottom of the ship? Or interior cabin closer to all the amenities? They're the same price.

I've always booked interior rooms for 2 reasons, 1) the price is usually a bit less and 2) (more importantly) I'm kind of one of those people who doesn't really have a normal sleep schedule and being able to go into the interior room and have it completely dark is kind of nice.

I like the darkness of the inside as well and being a little higher up personally. But keep in mind, if you have the chance to upgrade later from the upgrade fairy, the cost to do so from the ov will be cheaper.

I could do without the balcony to be honest and I wouldn't pay extra for it either way. I'd take it if it were free. Gonna call the casino people one more time and see what they say before I book just to be sure I'm not missing anything here.

I think 563 bucks on the verandah deck midship w/interior cabin and 200 obc is a pretty good deal for 14 days. Would be an insanely good deal if I'd snagged the balcony but either way, it may still be the best bang for the buck I've ever seen for any kind of vacation.

That is a great deal.  One thing to consider - you mentioned you have a nontraditional sleep schedule - in my experience, interior rooms near the front or near the aft are quieter.  I always used to book midship when I was concerned about motion.  But I found people tend to carry on long/loud conversations as they walk from their room to/from the elevator.

ok so i figured out how to get it to let me book the verandah deck interior, while still using the code for the balcony. does that mean that if one of those capacity controlled balconies becomes available, that i'd still have a shot at it? This one has allowed me to actually select a room number, but it's still under the code for the balcony.

I love our casino offers 🙂 Did a balcony on the mardi gras this past January and just paid taxes, and were doing a quick 4 night on the paradise this week, just paid taxes and getting a 250$ free slot pay that more than covers the taxes, plus free drinks in the casino. I would have gambled that anyways so definitely a win!

Do you want my VIFP #, see if it will let you book it for me, naturally if you are not going.

I think I'm gonna book it. the balconies are sold out though. I could pick another sailing and find one with a balcony available, but this one does the Panama Canal, and that's a big draw for me. Not sure why really. I haven't been there and so it just seems like a good opportunity to go and so I can get an inside room on the lido deck, or an oceanview on the main deck. I think I'll take the inside on the lido and call it a day. I certainly can't complain. by the time I get the obc, it'll be 363 bucks for 14 days with a room near the pool. That'll be the best deal I ever got on a cruise I think.

I got this offer and thought someone would have to pinch me.  It was real, though and I’m booked on a Panorama cruise in the balcony of my choice on deck 11!

This is awesome. Basically the same deal I got, but yours includes drinks. Kind of jealous over here!

I used one to book a sailing on the glory for Thanksgiving and just paid the taxes. 138 bucks. Balconies were sold out, (at least the ones allocated for the offer, but I got the lido deck and 8 days for 128 bucks, I certainly can't complain.

Plus $200 in FunPlay.

But you’re going on a more-bucket-list-worthy cruise of twice the length, so I’m kind of jealous of you, too!  😉

My best deal right now is an Australian Premier - $1500 OBC - I could book an interior for total around $1400, so basically I'd be making money to take the cruise lol!  Unfortunately, I'd lose all of it and then some on airfare to Australia right now.

I am so jealous for your gamblers............in a nice way of course!

Congratulations to OP and all who get these wonderful deals, take the deals up while they are coming, I suppose that once cruising is back to "business as usual", we will all be paying through the nose for a cruise, on the other hand, I hope that is not the case because I am getting used to sub $100 7-day cruises when all is said and done!

I travel solo, so anytime anyone of you guys needs a cruise buddy, give me a holler! 😄

I'm doing the one in November solo, and this one as well if I book it. I'm not sure why I haven't clicked through and done it yet. Seems like a big commitment. Plus it's so far away being December 2023. I should probably do it before the ship fills up, or before this deal expires.

Something is wrong with me. Now I'm looking at ones to Alaska. They sent me 3 offers for free rooms, 1 interior, 1 balcony and 1 oceanview and apparently I can use each one 2 times. So I could book one for next year to Alaska and it would just be the taxes like under 300 bucks.

Seriously. Someone has to talk me down.

Do it! With offers like those, why would you hesitate?

It just feels completely irrational to book that first one last week on a whim, and then to book this one today, and then to be considering booking a 3rd one on the same day. I know that if I clicked through and did it that I would be sitting here laughing, but it seems crazy.

Like imagine you're someone who sees me a few times a week, and I just walked up to you tomorrow and said something like, "so yeah I just booked 3 cruises so yeah I'm doing that". You'd think I was nuts. 2 might even seem nuts.

OP, much like my friend Joe said, do not hesitate, book them and book them NOW for as many as your time to get away will allow.

I am thinking that with today's CDC announcement of the end of testing requirements that the days of insane offers like these may be coming to a close! I know I am scrambling to see what else I can find through the end of this year for cheap before my run of good luck comes to an end!

It'll take me a few days to rationalize doing that. These offers are good until August 5th. My birthday is the 7th, so there's a strong possibility that I twist my brain into considering it a birthday gift to myself and book a 3rd.

The Alaska and Hawaii ones are really compelling, because they're generally more expensive, (and therefore make the offer a better value) and a bit longer and because those are 2 of maybe about 9 states that I've yet to visit, and visiting them via a cruise would be a great way to do it.

But...those generally leave from ports on the west coast, which would require airfare etc. I've got some friends that live in south Florida and Jacksonville so I can park for free and crash the night before at those ports. And I can drive to Mobile or New Orleans in no time. Charleston isn't too far, and Houston is a little farther, but I could crash with friends and park for free there.

I'll just let all this slosh around in my head for a few days and see what happens. I think you guys are right about the prices going back up. Less restrictions = more bookings. More bookings = change in supply/demand.

I'm going to log off the carnival site and watch tv or something for a while lol.

We book the lowest grade we are hapy with Oceanview. Then we got upselled to a Mid ship extended Balcony on our 9 day British Isles Cruise. Deck 7 opened up midship with $400 price reduction and we got it as OBC for a shore excursion or two.
