28 days out and Casino has not paid EZ air or cruise.

This is our first time taking a totally comped cruise through the Princess Casino dept. We have used their 35% Casino discounts in the past and have been on other cruise lines casino discount cruises man times. We are 28 days out and am trying to book our seats with Air Canada for flights and cannot because EZ air has not paid for flights because the Casino has not paid EZ air for the flights or cruise.  I paid the Casino in April for our flights and have enquired a number of times this last month when they were going to forward the money for the airfare and cruise.

Some people on Cruise Critic say they pay when  final payment is due some say 45 days out and some say 30 days.

I have emailed Casino dept  3 times in 2 weeks. Finally talked to  someone there  a week and half ago who said they would expedite it. Today still not done.

I have been told when talking to Princess  reps  that  Princess and EZ air cannot do anything until Casino pays the money.  I am not sure why Princess cannot hold these outside divisions accountable.

I am  Platinum with Princess and can say that I have never gone through such poor customer service on all levels.

I do understand that covid has caused a lot of stress on Companies but are they going to keep blaming covid  for years to come for their lack of customer service.

Anyway done venting.  Has anyone gone through this grief with the casino dept .

I’ve been told the casino pays anywhere from 2-4 weeks out.  I always book my own air and hotel  especially since the airlines are a mess right now with delays and cancellations.

I did have one cruise cancelled for non payment by the casino department but caught it and had it reinstated.

Don’t waste your time emailing keep calling.

I also have a casino comped cruise coming up, but I don't know if it has been paid or not.

Could someone please tell me where to look to see if the balance has been paid? I have tried under My account, payments, travel summary -- nowhere can I see a breakdown of what has been paid and what is owing.  It does show onboard credits and it shows our transfers as booked, shows what port fees were, but nowhere does it show what was paid and what is owing.

Should show a zero balance on your Travel Summary.

More details on Home page in CRUISE CASINOS catergory.

Perhaps I have some odd situation with my account, because it's definitely not there. I have scoured the TRavel Summary -- it shows what I paid for excursions (or more accurately, the cost of them) and it has an amount for port fees and taxes showing, but that's it. There's no "balance paid in full" "amount owing" nothing even remotely like that, no line showing anything about balance/

Thanks for the reply and for tip about the cruise casinos threads -- i will take a look in there.

I can tell my airfare has not been paid as they have not ticketed my flights.  If you go into modify your airfare and at the top you will see eticket. Click on and see if you have an eticket.  If not your flights have not been paid.

Thankyou all for your information.  I would not care if it was 30 days out but leaving it until 10 days out is nerve racking.

Lesson learned.

Have a back up plan just in case, I would have booked a second refundable flight for my own peace of mind weeks ago.  We did a coastal out of LAX to Vancouver earlier and had flights on both Southwest and Alaska within hours of each other ended up keeping the Southwest because last minute fares are crazy.

We did same thing, booking on SW both directions & Plan B was snag an Alaska flight

that left shortly after our SW flight if it was cancelled.

We also booked the First flight of the day!

That way you KNOW your plane is already there and waiting.

For the cruise we just completed, I just pulled out the paperwork....

I got a Booking Confirmation that listed the Zero balance.

This was dated 20 days before our cruise.

I'm Not sure how I got it, emailed to me?  Don't recall, but I printed it & brought with me.

Times past I've seen Zero on the Travel summary.

But looks like its on Booking Conf as well... or instead of?

when  your  cruise is comped (  as  in  offer  for  free room)  this  dose  not  show a balance

this  is what  shows
