Sea Trek: Jeanie's vs Chankanaab

My husband and I are going to be in Cozumel on August 30, and are going to book a Sea Trek. There are 2 locations available--One by Jeanie's Beach Club, and one at Chankanaab. Is there a big difference in the experience at one location vs the other? I mean, just the walking around under the water part--obviously there's quite a difference between being in town as opposed to a national park! I can find lots of videos of the location near Jeanie's, but not of Chankanaab (snorkel/scuba, yes, but not Sea Trek). Price is the same, though admission to Chankanaab is not included.

Sorry can’t advise you on experience but I i am surprised Chankanaab admission isn’t included/ mandatory. What happens after you have finished? Is this independent or through the ship?

As well as the actual experIence I would consider which pier you will be docking at and what else you want to do with your time.

I believe @mitsugirly has a review of the Jeannie’s location in her blog.

We did the one at Jeanies. I always love the SeaTrek experience no matter where it's at.

As far as not getting admission to Chankanaab afterwards, it should come with it. Unless, like leg said it's because you are on a ship excursion. When we were there (land vacation) it definitely came with the admission to Chankanaab because I called to ask. The only reason we didn't do SeaTrek there is because we had planned on doing the snuba there instead. Also, if you look online for vendors to book the SeaTrek, it also states comes with admission to Chankanaab or you can book directly with Chankanaab as well.
