Elation Spa Raffle - Rule Change

Onboard Elation last week, wife won $150 in the spa raffle, yea for her! We have won before on previous cruises as recently as March. However there is a new rule we found out when booking an appointment. The spa manager (very nice young lady) told us that the certificate can no longer be used for manicure, pedicure, massages, things like that. They have limited the use to the packaged signature services that have much higher price points. Not sure if this is across all ships, but manager said new rule came down from the top. $150 was the top prize, so no matter what you win it is really just a discount coupon now. Not complaining haha, just FYI. 

 

On a side note, this was my first time on Fantasy class in 15 years, but the Elation looked okay for near 25 years old. Maintenance was out taking care of cosmetic issues and keeping her going. The crew on the boat were great all around. Even ran into a few that were on other ships we’ve been on.

Yep, my wife won a $150 "photo package" only to find out that it was essentially a discount coupon for packages that cost $400 and up.  No thanks.  In my most humble opinion Carnival should be honest with their customers.
