Car hire from Port of Miami

Avis has a location very close to the port and may offer shuttles (if not it will be a short cab/Uber/Lyft ride).  It's a small location and sometimes gets swamped with cruisers returning and picking up cars - expect a delay.

If you get a better deal renting at MIA a taxi is only $28+tip and Uber/Lyft may save you a few $$ - the ride from POM to MIA takes about 20 minutes.

Avis, Hertz and Budget have downtown Miami locations that are relatively close to the Port Of Miami. I'm unsure if they provide free shuttle service from the Port Of Miami to there downtown Miami locations. You would have to call them to check.

Thank you to you both, we have been given a quote from Alamo in South Beach which seems pretty good. Presume we could pick up an Uber to get there quite easily from POM?

Yes - farther than Avis and others in downtown, but not that far.
