Will my Starbucks app work onboard?

I will have unlimited Wifi.

I have 3 Starbucks gift cards I was going to load on my app.

But I wanted to be sure that the best way to do it for onboard payment--or will the cards be easier?

People say yes but last week on the Encore the only form of payment they would take was key card/room charge.

I’m not sure what happened on that Encore sailing, very odd. Normally yes, you can purchase items at the licensed Starbucks cafés using a physical Starbucks card, the phone app, and the Apple Watch app. The apps generate a QR code for your account so you do not need internet access onboard.

 

Pro tip: if you have the beverage package, take your latte or Frappuccino to a bar and ask them to add a shot of liqueur. Bailey’s goes nicely with Starbucks Blonde Espresso.

If you don’t have WiFi, take a picture of your QR code. Remember, you will earn stars but cannot redeem them. 
(I hope I’ll be able to use my Starbucks app on the Encore in Feb. 🤞)
