Vancouver airport?

We are returning Canadian and will do ArrIveCAN.  
I have never done a connecting flight before.

 

We have Air Canada flights (on the same ticket)

- Anchorage to Vancouver 

- 3 hour layover in Vancouver 

- Vancouver to Toronto

 

My luggage will tagged to go direct to Toronto.  
We will go through Canadian Immigration/Customs in Vancouver.

Once we get off the plane.  
We use a kiosk for Canadian Immigration/Customs like in Toronto?

Do we have have to go through security screening again?

Is there a passage way to go connecting planes?

Yes, bags are going to get tagged to go to Toronto. 

 

Once you get off the plane you follow signs for domestic connections. That will take you to the same machines as Toronto, (the machines in Toronto and Vancouver are actually manufactured by a company the Vancouver airport owns).  Immigration/Customs officer etc.

 

I have done it in the past where it is segregated and other times where it is the same area.  During the COVID period they switched to doing it all downstairs in the main arrival hall due to the low volume.  I don't know if they have gone back to segregated already.
