Is doing dialysis right before and after cruise feasible?

My FIL has kidney disease and goes to a clinic for dialysis Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He's mentioned several times that he misses cruising. I wonder if we should ask him to come with us on a short cruise. We found a 4day wekend one on Royal Carribbean that leaves from a port 4 hrs away so we can drive there and it's a Friday through Monday cruise, so he might not need to miss his dialysis. I know when he goes on vacation, he just arranges to do dialysis wherever they are. He's usually done with dialysis by the early afternoon. I know it's cutting it close and he is really tired after dialysis, but my MIL will be there and me and my husband will also be there to help him. Has anyone done dialysis right before boarding and then as soon as you got back home?  I'd love to see if this is even doable before I invite them to come with us.

I think that’s a question for his nephrologist/dialysis center. DH’s clinic occasionally allowed for Monday HD to be replaced with early Tuesday am appt so we could travel a little  - followed by regular schedule. Your FIL’s HD team would best be able to help you.
Good luck!   Being able to cruise again has been life-changing.
