ETski Posted August 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Does anyone know if balcony dividers on Nieuw Amsterdam can be open. We have 5 rooms next to one another.
fatcat04 Posted August 20, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Yes. We had three in a row one time, two the next cruise and we had the dividers opened both times. Both on NA.
oakridger Posted August 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Just ask your Steward when you first get there.
blueexpedition29 Posted August 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2022 Make sure everyone "Agrees" to it being mindful that doing so opens up their cabins to everyone else to "look in". So all need to be mindful of keeping curtains closed ( which to me is bad because it destroys the views of the ocean!!!). Of course, if all arfe agreeable it is a great way to expand your groups private space.
leerathje Posted August 21, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2022 We were on the Koningsdam pre-COVID, and we have 3 rooms side by side by side. It is only the very last panel they open. Altough our rooms on the Koningsdam were on the 4th floor with the extended balcony, hopefully you can get an idea of how they work. on whicheve floor you are on. L. Heartgrove Posted August 21, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2022 There may be a limit ( I am not sure if five staterooms would be allowed) of the number of panels that can be opened. The closed panels provide compartmentation to prevent the spread of fire.
