Has anyone else heard that Bar Harbor may be closing their port in September and October? A friend told me they heard that.

Apparently there is a petition to disallow cruise ships in the future, but no immediate stoppages will happen.  You can see discussion of this here on CC, under Ports of Call: Canada/NewEngland.

Someone has details mixed up. Not closing, just reducing passenger count and the number of months in the season. It doesn't apply in 2022. And it isn't a done deal yet.

They are putting limits to the number of ships/passengers but not closing the port. They had talked about really strict limits (1000 passengers) but it was revised to 3500-3800 depending on month.
