CDaze71 Posted August 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2022 I am GOLD and soon I will be just 7 days away from turning Platinum. Say I board a 9 night cruise, I will essentially turn Platinum during that cruise. Will my Platinum benefits be available on my next cruise, on day 7 of that cruise, or at the beginning of that 9 night cruise? Anybody got any ideas about this? Thanks. skrufy Posted August 23, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2022 At the beginning. Check your luggage tags, should say platinum, if not call Carnival and have it corrected. Enjoy the perks.
n6uqqq Posted August 23, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2022 If your next cruise is only 7 days long you would still be platinum at the beginning of the cruise.
wemjam Posted August 23, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2022 Benefits hit at the start of the cruise you hit your threshold on. Usually the system will recognize this on its' own and your luggage tags and boarding pass will denote it automatically. If not, simply reach out to Carnival before hand. When you board the sailing you will receive your Platinum card right at embarkation (even if you hit your threshold the very last day of the sailing, it is from day one of the cruise)

Rare chasinraynbowz Posted August 23, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2022 I turned Platinum on my last cruise. They gave me a gold card, so I went to Guest Services to get a platinum one. She started to disagree with me until she realized I did turn plat on the cruise, so I got the plat card. I asked about the $25 added to my card in the casino, but was not given that. I just think there was some confusion. No biggie. I enjoyed myself!!

The $25 for the casino you have to speak directly with the Casino host. I actually just called about this myself as right now Diamond and Platinum are given $25 to spend in the casino due to the one perk of the buy one get one slot tournament not being available due to Covid. We haven't been getting it because we didn't know. So I called the Diamond desk and was told, anything like this you have to go directly to the casino and they upload it. Guest Services can't help with that one.

It's all good. I am going on the Panorama in a few weeks. I will be Plat when I board and should get my perks.
