Ruby Princess Disembarkation - San Francisco

Are they on board now? If not, then tell them to meet outside the terminal at say 8:30 or 9:00. They would have to arrange with passenger services to get a disembarkation time about 1/2 hour prior to the pick up time to allow for them to get through immigration and pick up their baggage. If they are on board right now then you have to contact them and ask their disembarkation time. Standard disembarkation usually begins around 7:30am and runs until 9:30am with groups of passengers leaving around every 10 minutes. Note that there isn't much space at the terminal to park and wait. You may have to park elsewhere.

They can find the time the ship is scheduled to arrive on the website. Go to their booking, then itinerary and at the bottom says what time the ship gets in.

A couple of days before disembarkation they will get the notice for what group they’re in and what time they can leave the ship.

I hope they had a great time!

If you're not in a hurry, tell them to ask for the last disembarkation time (9:30), go to the Da Vinci dining room and have a leisurely breakfast, go back to there stateroom and pick up their carry-on/off bag and go to whatever disembarkation area they are supposed to go to.  They will be asked to leave the shipbefore 9:30.  They will then need to pick up their bags and go through CBP where their passport pictures should be close to their resemblance 🤣, and then they'll be out to the curb.  You can pick them up on either side. Or if one or both has a blue placard, take it with you and pull into one of the Blue Zone spots in the parking lot.  If one of the Metro Cruise "employees" (usually seniors hired on a per diem basis) tells you that you can't park there, just ignore them and pull into the parking lot (ADA violation that you can later sue them for big bucks.)

Do your parents have a cell, have them contact you when the ship docks in SF.  usually around 6 am and let you know what time they are assigned to get off.  Usually takes about 30 minutes if they group gets off at time scheduled to go thru customs and pick up luggage to get to curb.

I do agree later is better than first thing.  Folks getting off at 7:30 am and part of early groups much be able to carry off all their luggage.  Which I would guess your parents can't do.

We are usually off by 8:30 am or 9 am at latest.  We request these times as passengers with personal independent pickup arrangements.   Have gone in and out of SF many times in the past 20 years.

Thank you everyone!! I will tell them to stay onboard until the last embarkation time (9:30) and meet them outside.

By the time they actually get off the ship and clear CBP, it will probably be after 9:30.  If they go out to the curb, ask them to let you know which post they are near.  One side is odd numbered, the other is even.
