I think for rapid tests it is 24 hours or less? If you are from the US it seems most health insurance will pay for it and they will just give you 4 tests that you can do yourself when it's the right time. I think people doing this will take a picture of negative covid test along with their passport or other ID and something like a newspaper that shows the date or something like that.

We bringing our extras with us so if we want to check, we will be able to easily.

On the last Transpacific we had major sports played on the big screen on pool deck.  They played the AFL (Australian Football League) Final for the Aussies.  I think if you ask the CD they will try to accommodate any  major sports.

I hope they show some of the baseball games. Go Royals!

Absolutely!  I just dread the super long flight.  I have been book shopping like crazy to have plentiful books on my phone, lol.  I am an avid reader and I always have to have something to read before I go to sleep.  Otherwise, my bags are packed and I'm ready!

We download a bunch from the library. You're only supposed to have them 3 weeks and then they expire and are removed from your Kindle but if you get everything on your Kindle that you want and then turn Wi-Fi off on your Kindle they will stay there until you turn it back on. 🤫

GOOD MORNING....it's 7am in Perth and 7pm in NYC

Just sayin.

Airport was simple, met up with BIL and headed to Airbnb.Nice airbnb couple blocks from Kings Park, shopping areas and the Government buildings

Went to sleep about 8pm and other than a few wake ups, we got through the first night.

Got a lot of different model cars.

BIL has a Holden....damn that's a nice car.

Prometheus - I'm heading over for this cruise this Sat from Tampa FL - Where are you getting your covid test done??

Sadly, i had to cancel this cruise:( for some unforseen circumstances

Im going to try again in 2025 if they are doing more transpacifics. Soooo wished i was going!

I would try Walgreens for testing since they are everywhere, or CVS.

Hope Everyone has a wonderful time. Hoping some pictures get posted from the cruise

Can anyone help with recommendations on where to get the pre covid test prior to the cruise guess has to be 48 hours prior due to length of cruise so I'm told by Carnival - Hoping to get one in Brisbane when I arrive

The doco says "self administered" we are reliably ? told that you can take your own test and then take a photo of the result with the date and passport in the picture - so a newspaper with that days date on or your phone with the date and time on

How about we all put up our photos so we can recognise each other?. It has been helpful on previous cruises. KayIMG_0325.thumb.JPG.a141ffb126a885572f61af703fa56829.JPG

Suz&Sean pretty well nailed it. Get your RAT test before you leave. My insurance pays for 4 tests per month but that might be going away. On my iPhone, swiping up on the picture shows the date and time. People who are already on the ship have said that they haven’t even really been checking for the picture.

For NCL they also wanted a picture of the batch number.

We have been unable to check in for some time now. They say it's a system wide problem. Since you said you checked in, I tried again and still no go. I guess we will have to wait until we reach the port?

That must be awful for you. But if you don't succeed, try try again. Kay

I just tried using a different browser and it didn't work.  I have spoken with Carnival many times and they all reply that there is an internal error and check in might be available by April 11th, otherwise to check in at the pier.

Everyone with Fly2fun is having that problem. They can check in at the pier. There will be no priority boarding.

I booked my own flights and can't check in.  i have been able to print my luggage tags for ages so will just go with that.
