car hire tenerife port

 We are cruising on Azura in October doing a back to back, so we have two days in Tenerife. We are looking to book a car for the two days to pick up in the port, and wondered if there is any parking available for when we get back to the ship, before we head out for the second day. Has anyone else done this, any advice gratefully received.

There's a large surface parking lot close to the cruise berths. 

If you rent from Cicar they might permit you to park overnight in their private section of that lot.

 

Cicar are the rental agency for the Canaries, they have a solid long-established reputation, over the years we've hired from them a great many times in most of the islands, last time a few months ago - sensible rates, sensible fuel policy, no-excess insurance, clean late cars, and they don't try to rip off their customers.

We also recommend CICAR.  Just beware that most of their cars have a manual (stick) shift.  If you need an auto transmission, make sure to reserve that kind of car (you will pay a premium).
