Best Time To Buy

I want to purchase a cruise sailing in April 2023 and another that sails in August 2023.  Is there a best time to purchase?  Are there sales or does RCI jack up prices before their "sales" as I have seen some post.

There is a sale going on now with a $50 off pp for C&A, some even better. Best sale I've seen for  long time. 

 

Usually it 30% off or 60% 2nd pax same same and no sale. Rcl has very few sales and the good prices dont apply to all sailing. My 3 harmony Nov and dec 2023 all went down. 

 

Just need to watch imo.

I do not think there really is a "best time to buy" it is more you need to be diligent and monitor the prices and if you see a price you are willing to spend then go for it. Also make sure you put in your state of residence, you may get a discount based on the state you live in depending on the cruise.

As a general rule the farther out you book a cruise, the cheaper the cruise. I try to book cruises 1.5 - 2 years in advance as much as possible. Often the price for the same cabin type will be double what I paid as it gets closer to the cruise. But I have also seen so many different price variances over the years that there is no one rule that covers everything.
