Deluxe Drink Package questions.

Recommended Posts

I'm sailing on the Navigator of the Seas in October.   I'm wondering if you purchase the Deluxe  package  do you get a tumbler to use at the Free Style Coke machines, or do you only get drinks from the bar?  Is there a max number of drinks per day?   Are there rules against the frequency in which you can get drink,   for example do you only get one per hour or  do they not care and you can get two at a time?  On Navigator how hard is it to get shakes from Johnny Rockets,  do you need to pay to eat there to get a shake?  Are there fancy coffee's with the deluxe package or only Starbucks branded extra cost coffees?   Does it include bottled water to take on shore?  I've never purchased more then the pop pass on Princess so I want to understand the value.

Yes, you get the cup.

No maximum.

One at a time, but as often as you like.  They just want to be sure that you are not sharing your drinks.

Specialty coffees included, from any place that offers them.

Yes, bottled water.  Regular and mineral.

About the soda tumbler you get, can you ONLY use that at the free style coke machine or can I use a plastic cup there. My thought is having to keep that cup clean on a cruise could be difficult. I like it as a souvenir but would not want to be frequently using it on the cruise as it might be difficult to keep clean.

The tumbler has a chip built into its base which is what activates the machine - otherwise anyone could use it with any cup. It’s not like the tumbler is going to get filthy, just rinse it out with hot water and a few drops of the liquid goop in the shower.

Note that coffee from the onboard Starbucks store is not included in the DBP.  Cafe Promenade now uses Starbucks beans and the coffee drinks from the are included in the DBP.

If you want soft drinks and don't want to carry the cup around, you can order whatever you want from any bar or restaurant.  You would just not have the wide selection that the Freestyle machine offers unless you use the cup.
