My suggestion would be to uber/lyft to Frenchman Street. For no cover. The Spotted Cat  has no cover but a one drink minimum. If you just want to stay around the French Quarter, I'd go with Fritzel's .

Of course this is the warehouse district where the buildings were warehouses prior to the 1984 worlds fair when this area was transformed. They did leave the ceilings looking authentic

I woke up at 4 and checked the ship tracker and valor is in Cozumel. It must have been way behind yesterday because it showed it at the mouth of the Mississippi. Crazy it’s been on the sat-Thurs route every week I’ve been here this year. I will catch it next week though. Have to I would think.

Since there were no ships in port I decided to sleep in with the nearby coffee shops not opening until 7. My neighbors got up at 5 and didn’t care at all about my plans. Screaming, yelling, talking loud in general. I banged on the door to let them know. They didn’t seem to care. Finally I just left before I really went nuts on them.

The American Queen is in port today for river cruises to Memphis.
