Has anyone embarked out of Pier 46 on a Princess ship? What is the procedure?

We leave on Sept 24 on the Sapphire Princess out of Pier 46.  Does anyone have experience with the procedure?  
Do we drop off the bags at the pier then go to the parking lot?  Is there a bus to take us back to the Pier?  Is there a place to check in at Pier 46? 
No communication from Princess at all.  Thanks for any help.

It is Berth 46, not a pier, and I have to believe they have a temp terminal of some kind. If there are enough ships in port to warrant using Berth 46, they would be severely limited in space to try and check-in both the ships at Berth 91-93 plus Berth 46.

 

I'd call Monday to Princess and see what you find out.

i Have never sailed out of that terminal.  It looks to the overflow when the two main terminals are occupied.

 

The port authority claims there is a cruise ship terminal there and that area is frequently used for special events and has a very big parking lot,  The google map satellite image does show a building that could be a small terminal near where the ship would tie-up.

Sounds like it was not well handled. I know LA plans to build a new terminal at Berth 46 because they'd like to attract more cruise business.
