Has anyone who booked with the free airfare perk traveled yet? I’m curious to hear of your experience with booking flights through them. We are booked for the April 16 trip from Portland to Spokane.

I have been wondering the same thing.  Will be interested to see the answers.

 

We took the same trip last April (in the reversed order) and loved it.  Really liked the Empress and the cabins are very nice.

I have now booked 3 American Queen voyages for 2023-4 but do not qualify for the airfare...

the reason is that it is only for those voyages short term while we tend to book further out.

Does sort of penalize those that plan ahead doesn't it.

I don't know what you consider short term, but our booking for the GEG-PDX cruise next Oct was eligible for the free airfare when it ws booked 14 months in advance.  Since we live in Spokane, we didn't need it, but it was available.  BTW, they wanted more for just the one-way return PDX-GEG than we can get it on our own.

I have the Holiday cruise on AQ over New Year's and the airfare is included, so I find out, and will try to post results.

Thanks for your reply. May I ask, did they provide flights with reasonable itineraries, i.e. not multiple layovers, or long layovers?

We're flying to NO, they booked a direct flight leaving SFO at 10:30am to NO arriving around 6pm. Return trip 1 stop in Denver layover 1.5 hr
