CL128 Posted September 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2022 Just want to post an update today from MSC for non-US residence pre-boarding testing and vaccination requirements! I was checking the MSC app and it looks like pre embarkation PCR/Antigen test for vaccinated guests are now "reccomended" and not "required"! Also, vaccination is "reccomended" and not required" (if not vaccinated, i would assume a pre-embarkation PCR/Antigen test is still required) . I was only able to find this new info through the app (updated september 22nd 2022) : > "Useful info" > "embarkation procedures" > "Getting Onboard" > press "website" under bullet-1 > scroll to "Caribbean from US" and click "Read More" > scroll down and you will see "Travel Requirements for cruises from 1st October 2022") > "Measures to embark" I cant seem to find this info on the Canadian website, can anyone else confirm? JT1962 Posted September 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2022 It does not appear to be updated yet on the website. It’s possible they updated the app first.
Missymssy Posted September 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2022 (edited) Where are the requirements for Mediterranean cruises (US citizens). I see no test required if I look on the UK site (as of October 1). I'm guessing this only applies to UK citizens?? Travel Requirements Mediterranean | MSC Cruises As of right now, I haven't been able to log onto the US site at all. Thanks. As was mentioned in another thread, that sounds like an embarkation nightmare, to have different rules based on your home country 🙂

Can you post US requirements for Mediterranean cruises if they've updated for 10/1 changes?

Hi, I went to "Mediterranean" section of the App, it basically states as of Oct 1st 2022, pre embarkation covid testing is "recommended" and not "required, if you are fully vaccinated, EXCEPT for Greece embarkation ports. Greece embarkation ports still require a negative PCR/Antigen test no more than 2 days prior to embarkation. Hope this helps!

Longimanus Posted September 23, 2022 #12 Share Posted September 23, 2022 The dutch MSC website has been updated to reflect the changes starting October 1st. Both for caribbean and European cruises. From the wording used I assume all travellers will from then on be treated equally.

reedprincess Posted September 29, 2022 #17 Share Posted September 29, 2022 When will the USA website update? It still shows tests required for non-US residents for cruises departing US for Caribbean/Bahamas.. so how does that work when Canadian and UK sites show no testing required?? 🙄

I really think they've forgotten to update it. It says I need a test for my Med cruise, but nearly every other country's site says no more test.
