Wheelhouse Bar on Discovery Princess?

It isn't the Wheelhouse that is on Grand Class ships. On the Discovery it is what you see as the Crown Grill Bar. On the Royal & Regal it was still named Wheelhouse Bar. Starting with the Majestic it has been named Crown Grill Bar.

The grand class atmosphere of leather chairs, smooth music and a small dance floor are gone. There may be some music in the evening. I would try Take Five lounge on deck 6

Agreed..the wheelhouse bas as we know it is a thing of the past.  We really enjoyed that but princess seemed to change so many of the venues that were so nice.  Its now just a seating area next to the walkway going past the crown grill.

Alas vines has also gone by the wayside.

Maybe we should start a thread of all the "abandoned" lounges/food venues/bars that aren't on the new ships.  Lost, but not forgotten great venues of Princess ships.  Some weren't that popular except for those who knew where to find them, like Adagio, the Wake View Bar, and arguably Skywalkers

Some were rebranded - like Prego Pizza

Some were very popular and were taken away - Explorers Lounge, Wheelhouse?

But some have returned, like Crooners (absent on Majestic, Sky, Enchanted? but back on the Discovery).

And thankfully, some that weren't popular for a reason probably won't be on any new build like Club Fusion, SHARE, Steamers, Planks, Club 6, the strange (but kind of nice) lounge at the far aft of Cafe Caribe on the Caribbean Princess.  Cafe Caribe is an interesting venue in itself - a second buffet?  Sure it served a purpose - overflow seating and a more efficiently operated service line, but why have a 2nd venue.  On a recent voyage on the Crown there was no food service at all.
